Kris Baack – Leadership
Kris Baack is coordinator of the J.D. Edwards Leadership Program. Baack earned her Ph.D in community and human resources after working in the speech and language pathology field, in which she earned her bachelor's and master's degrees. She is Leadership Director for UNL Student Involvement and coordinates many of the student leadership activities like the Chancellor's Leadership Class and Emerging Leaders TA classes, and leadership development for student athletes and spirit squads. Baack is certified in Myers Briggs and "7 Habits" personality and behavior development training.

Myra Cohen - Computer Science
Myra Cohen is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She received her Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Auckland, New Zealand, her M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Vermont and her B.S. from the School of Agriculture and Life Sciences, Cornell University. Her current research interests are in software testing, search based software engineering and applications of combinatorial designs.

Amy Cypher - Communications
Amy Cyphers is a communications faculty member in the J.D. Edwards Honors Program, teaching technical communication for the UNL College of Journalism and Mass Communications. Amy received her bachelor's in news-editorial journalism in 1992 from the UNL College of Journalism. She began her career in 1991 public relations in, working for the UNL Office of Public Relations, and later, the NU Alumni Association. Amy co-directs Girls on the Run of Nebraska, a nonprofit organization that combines exercise, education and mentoring to promote fitness and self-esteem in pre-teen girls.

Les Digman - Management
Les Digman is Harold J. Laipply College Professor of Management in the UNL College of Business Administration, where he also serves as director of Graduate Studies in Management. A graduate of the University of Iowa, he specializes in strategic management, strategic decision-making, international management, and management of technology. He has written 14 books, made contributions to 13 others, and published 34 articles in journals such as the Harvard Business Review, Organizational Dynamics, and Operations Research. Professor Digman has consulted with numerous private and governmental organizations in North America, Asia, and Western and Eastern Europe.

Matt Dwyer - Computer Science
Matt Dwyer is Henson Professor of Engineering. His research interests are in developing techniques that enable reliable, efficient concurrent software, and “correctness issues” in software. Dwyer received his Ph.D. in computer science from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Dwyer received a National Science Foundation CAREER Award in 1997 for his work on applying data flow analysis to reason about correctness properties of concurrent programs.

Sebastian Elbaum - Computer Science
Sebastian Elbaum is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He received his M.S. and Ph.D. from the University of Idaho, and his B.S. from the Universidad Catolica de Cordoba, Argentina. His current areas of research include: advanced testing techniques, large-scale software behavior analysis, and end-user software engineering. He received the Harrold and Esther Edgerton Assistant Professor Award for a record of teaching and creative research that demonstrates outstanding academic promise.

Steve Goddard - Computer Science
Steve Goddard is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He received his M.S. and Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and B.A. in Computer Science and Mathematics from the University of Minnesota. His current areas of research include: high assurance systems, real-time systems, multimedia systems, network-clustered servers, distributed geospatial decision support systems, and software engineering.

Jana McGuire - Communications
Jana McGuire is a Communications faculty member in the J.D. Edwards Honors Program and teaches Technical Communication for the UNL College of Journalism and Mass Communications. Jana received her bachelor's (1986) and master's (1996) degrees from the UNL College of Journalism. She began her career in radio and television news, working as a reporter/anchor for KLIN Radio in Lincoln, KQTV in St. Joseph, Missouri, and as Lincoln Bureau Cheif for KMTV in Omaha, Nebraska. Jana also worked in the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Public Relations office as a video producer and writer before leaving to launch McGuire Productions, where she dabbles in freelance writing, video production and on-camera/voice-over work. Currently, Jana hosts a weekly news program on Nebraska Public Television called "Statewide." You can find her on stage most weekends singing and playing bass for the Top 40 country band, Blackwater.

Sucheta Nadkarni - Strategic Management
Sucheta Nadkarni is an Associate Professor of Management in the College of Business Administration at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Kansas in 2001. She specializes in Strategic Management and Managerial and Organizational Cognition. She received the outstanding service award from the Manageria and Cognition Division of the Academy of Management in 2006, as well as the Best North American Faculty submission from the MOC division at the Academy of Management Meeting in Seattle, WA in 2001, among others.

Jean Riley-Schultz - Accounting
Jean Riley-Schultz, CPA, is an Accounting faculty member in the J.D. Edwards Honors Program. She teaches accounting during the first and second years of the program. Ms. Schultz received her B.S. and M.P.A. from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln. Her seven years experience in public accounting was at the Lincoln Office of Deloitte & Touche. Subsequently, Ms. Schultz was employed by First Commerce Bancshares, Inc. and Wells Fargo Bank.

Dr. David Rosenbaum - Associate Director for Academic Affairs/Business
Dr. David Rosenbaum is a Professor of Economics at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He received his M.S. and Ph.D. in economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and B.A. in economics from the University of Maryland. He teaches basic finance and economics in the first year, and a variety of topics in the third year of the program. Dave is also in charge of curriculum development.

Dr. Tom Seevers - Distinguished Engineer
Tom Seevers is a Visiting Professor of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Nebraska Lincoln and serves as a Director of the J.D. Edwards Honors Program Design Studio. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Nebraska. Dr. Seevers serves as Vice President and Chief Technology Officer for IBM's Global Financial Services Sector. He is an IBM Distinguished Engineer and a member of the IBM Academy of Technology. His professional interests include research and leadership in architectural information, methods and medium grain architecture patterns.

Leen-Kiat Soh – Computer Science
Leen-Kiat Soh is assistant professor in Computer Science and Engineering. His research interests are multiagent systems, machine learning, intelligent image analysis, intelligent information analysis, computer-aided education systems, and other applied artificial intelligence research. Soh says “Computer Science is about how to design computers to do things for us; Artificial Intelligence is about how to design computers to think for us; Machine Learning is about how to design computers to come up with what they should do and think for us; Multiagent Systems is about how to design computers to do things and think for a group of us." Soh is a musician and writes and digitally records his own compositions. He also participates in painting, calligraphy and photography.

Jeremy Suing - Design Studio Project Manager/Computer Science Lecturer
Jeremy Suing is the J.D. Edwards Honors Program Project Manager for Design Studio and a Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. Mr. Suing has over 7 years of software engineering and project management experience working directly with ERP software solutions for Oracle USA, Inc. (formerly J.D. Edwards & Company and then PeopleSoft, Inc.). He has a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Colorado at Denver and received his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Mathematics from the University of Nebraska at Kearney.

Scott Swenseth - Design Studio/Business
Scott Swenseth is an Associate Professor of Management at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He received his Ph.D. in Operations Management and Logistics from Texas A&M University, his MBA from Gonzaga University, and his B.S. in Marketing from Moorhead State University. Dr. Swenseth conducts research on the implementation of alternative operations management

Vinodchandran Variyam - Computer Science
Vinodchandran Variyam joined the UNL Computer Science and Engineering department in 2001. He holds an M.S. from the Indian Institute of Technology and a PhD from the Institute of Mathematical Sciences, both in Chennai, India. Prof. Variyam conducts research in theoretical computer science. His current research focus is on computational complexity theory and computational learning theory. He is a recipient of the 2005 College of Arts and Sciences Distinguished Teaching Award.
